Feeder
The
AET's line of screw (crammer) feeders (see picture below) are available from 1.5 inch (38mm)
to 10 inch (254mm) in diameter, and are custom designed for the specific
material and bulk density (lbs/cu.ft.) to be processed. They are designed
to provide a steady feed of material to the extruder insuring a constant
output. Most often used in scrap reclamation and compounding applications,
they effectively feed the most difficult materials: powders, foam scrap,
chopped film, fiber scrap and a combination of virgin and reclaimed material.
The feeders can be adapted to all extruders by modifying or replacing the
existing feed section. They are supplied with an automatic feedback type
control that corrects for changes in material bulk density.
