AET can measure 2 ½” and larger
single screw extruders barrel bores using an electronic digital readout
instrument. The barrel has to be clean and cold for this operation and,
of course, the feed screw removed. While the screw is out AET can also
measure the flight outside diameter to check for wear or damage. A written
report showing these readings will then be generated and a course of action
suggested and discussed.
